Greek Village Cohousing
Η πρώτη συμβιωτική κοινότητα στην Ελλάδα
Our Location
Standing on the plot of land we have chosen for our village, you can smell the wild oregano, pine, and orange blossoms. There are fruit trees nearby and a little traditional stone church within walking distance, with a lovely platea for outdoor BBQs. As we look out at what will soon become the view from our kitchen window, the expansiveness of the landscape renews our spirit and leaves us relaxed and at peace. It is easy to believe that a person can live a longer, happier life in a place like this and that children will thrive.
One of two roads to our plot and little church nearby. Our plot is just out of the photo to the right.
The valley stretches below us, with a farm and the horses within view. The little village of Potamia is nestled in the valley, with its cheerful red tile roofs just a short bike ride away - perhaps a trip to the mini market or lunch at the taverna. Beyond Potamia and the farm is a sea of unspoiled natural beauty, with valleys and foothills and low mountains expanding toward the majestic Taygetos mountains rising up. The pyramid, snowcapped peak of Profitis Ilias crowns the Taygetos and provides a focal point for the eye, and its mention in “the Odyssey” gives your view and place on this mountain a sense of richness and history.
Views from our land in different seasons

The plot is beside a larger community called Peter and Paul's Wellness and Lifestyle Community. This community is partially developed with roads and erosion protection in the form of beautiful stone walls, and it is verdent with 70,000 regenerative agriculture and native plants planted over the decades, including a large olive tree and fruit tree orchard. There is a planned, interactive olive oil mill, a fully mature vineyard and planned winery, planned honey and dried fruit production, and animals in the valley on the farm. Behind us there are miles of beautiful hiking trails, and our plot has breathtaking views of the mountains and valley from every part of our plot. The pristine nature and bucolic farms are as far as the eye can see, and the forest is protected. Within a walk from our land there is a planned spa hotel, and the area is planned for residential housing and resort housing.
