Greek Village Cohousing is not just a physical house or traditional village. It’s a community-led journey to a home with genuine belonging.  It is a path from wanting a better life to actually living one that has proven very successful and popular around the world- a process of building an "intentional community" of people who share values, build trust, and co-create a beautiful place to live together.

What begins as “interest” becomes something much deeper: a collaborative journey that helps people bond before they move in and become neighbors with a shared vision, living in a community shaped by that vision and those values.

​

Greek Village Cohousing began as a single intentional community project, Taygete Cohousing Village.  After living in Cohousing and Greece, and years of hands-on work, it has evolved from one project into an Intentional Community Cohousing & Ecohousing Incubation Hub™—a method I founded in Greece for forming real "Community-Led" villages.

The methods I’ve developed synthesize best practices from cohousing communities around the world, the global intentional communities movement, my own experience living in cohousing, sociocracy, and Greek cultural traditions—adapting them to the realities of building resilient, international communities in Greece. 

​

Through the Greek Village Cohousing | Ecohousing Incubation Hub™, I continue the work of our original flagship community, Taygetes Cohousing Village, and I guide people who want to become valued members of an intentional community in several areas of Greece through a uniquely designed process developed over many years.

Empowerment through the GVC Cohousing & Ecohousing Collaborative Experience™ includes:

1. A grounding orientation process for new Explorer members
   Get truly oriented to community-led living—what it takes, what it gives, and how we do it. Members also gain real access to the process and the ability to shape their future community.
   For those who need it, this includes support related to immigration/residency questions and other transition-to-Greece needs in a mutually supportive environment—where neighbors help neighbors, and I connect you with trusted professional guidance where appropriate.

2. A hands-on collaborative design immersion experience online and workshop series
   Become an active co-creator of your future village. You’ll collaborate with like-minded people to clarify shared values, translate them into priorities, and build a community that reflects who you are—together.  You'll learn a bit about sociocracy and why this method is so successful in neighborhoods that use it.

3. On-site gatherings in Greece- Our Explorer member tours
   After immersing yourself in intentional community online with others around the world, we gather in person to walk the land, meet future neighbors. This is how you move toward belonging—so you eventually move in feeling deeply connected, valued, and confident that your village reflects sustainability and resilience.

4. Real village projects to join
   These are not just ideas. These are real projects tied to real places with strong foundations to build from, not just dream ideas but solid options. And only members of the community are eligible to move in.

GVC Collaborative Design Workshop Series™

Membership includes meeting regularly online with future neighbors from around the world and co-creating as well through our Collaborative Village-Building Workshop Series™—a rotating, ever-evolving set of activities that helps members:

• clarify shared values

• shape the vision and design priorities of the village

• create community agreements

• plan for mutual support and sustainable living

• and do it all while honoring the place and culture we’re rooted in

Members don’t just “move in”—they belong, because they’ve helped build something meaningful together.

Exploratory Member Trips to Greece

Being a member of Greek Village Cohousing means you’re eligible for both the online immersive intentional community experience and the trips to Greece- where prospective members can visit village sites, walk the land and feel the energy of the sites and region as well as potentially meet future neighbors and take part in live design and orientation sessions.

These visits bring the vision to life—transforming the idea of “joining a community” into a tangible, grounded experience. It’s also a chance to form bonds, clarify your own needs and hopes, and decide whether this is the right path for you.

Support with Golden Visas & Transition to Life in Greece

For members relocating from abroad, membership includes personalized support from Evi and your neighbors for transitioning to life in Greece. This can include:

• understanding whether the Golden Visa may be an option (if that’s your chosen pathway)

• connections to vetted legal and financial professionals

• guidance on residency pathways, healthcare navigation, tax and other financial logistics, and cultural integration

Moving countries can be overwhelming—but you don’t have to figure it out alone.

We’ve built this system to help you land gently: neighbors helping neighbors, and Evi providing access to trusted professionals who support individual success—which supports a thriving community.
