Immersion Trip
in Crete

Crete Immersion Tour
Dates & Duration(5 Days)
2025:
October 14-18
December 9-13
Crete has a rhythm and landscape all its own — warm, sea-air mornings, a vibrant island culture, and a coastline that’s never far from reach. This immersion tour offers a chance to explore life here while helping shape a new intentional community from its earliest days.
Unlike our Peloponnese property — a ready-to-build mountain village within a wellness and nature resort — the Crete project is still in its formative stage, but it will be a renovation of a fully existing set of buildings. Here, we’ll be re-imagining these buildings rather than starting from scratch. This brings the rare opportunity to help define not only the design, but also the spirit and culture of the village from the ground up.
The location is within walking distance to the sea, and a short drive from a lively town with a strong expat community and a rich mix of cultural life. During the tour, you’ll stay in a charming seaside hotel property currently for sale — one we’ve identified as a promising site for a year-round cohousing community.
By living in the very space we’re considering, you’ll be able to imagine how shared and private areas might take shape, take part in workshops and visioning sessions, and contribute to the evolving plan. You’ll also have time to experience Crete’s food, history, and everyday rhythms — all while exploring how this island could be your next chapter.
Tour Highlights – Crete Immersion Tour
-
A Rare Hands-On Role in Shaping a Community – Spend five days immersed in the very property we’ve identified as the top contender for our Crete cohousing community. You’ll experience it as a resident would, exploring how shared and private spaces could work.
-
See Multiple Paths Before You Decide – Visit one or two additional properties for comparison, and discuss the pros and cons as a group. This isn’t just sightseeing — it’s informed decision-making.
-
Curated Group Workshops & Conversations – Each day includes guided sessions on topics like village visioning, renovation possibilities, and life in Crete. If the group is ready, we’ll also cover practical topics such as the Golden Visa process and relocation strategies.
-
Shared Exploration – Enjoy locally chosen excursions — seaside walks, nearby villages, or cultural sites — that bring you closer to the Crete lifestyle.
-
Leave With Clarity – By the end of the week, you’ll have a deeper understanding of Crete’s opportunities, a connection to fellow future residents, and a clearer sense of whether this community is right for you.

What's Included:
Insider Access & Guidance:
• A Cohousing Incubation Hub: Over the past 5 years, I’ve personally spoken in depth with more than 500 people seeking community in Greece, and today our mailing list includes over 1,000 potential members. This isn’t just about finding a house—it’s about finding your people. As an Explorer member, you’ll be stepping into a carefully curated network of future neighbors and collaborators, with the chance to form your own circle and move forward together.
• Relocation Support That’s Real: As an expat myself, I know the challenges first-hand of relocating to Greece. You’ll gain access to my trusted network of professionals—lawyers, notaries, architects, visa advisors, and accountants—plus honest insights from my own journey of moving, working, and living here.
• Private Site Visits: We’ll tour potential Crete properties that have already been vetted for their suitability as a cohousing village. These aren’t generic listings—these are real options with apartments or houses that can work architecturally for intentional community living.
• The Chance to Stay in a Potential Community Site: Depending on availability, you may be spending time in of the properties under consideration for a deeper dive into what it might feel like. This gives you the rare chance to experience first-hand what daily life could feel like in a future community.
• Small-Group Support & Conversation: In an intimate setting, we’ll explore your hopes, practical needs, and visions for community. Cohousing is about mutual support, and this trip creates a safe, structured space to begin shaping what that could mean for you in Crete.
